Ontario Autism Program

Last reviewed: 2026-10-01. Confirm amounts and steps on ontario.ca before you apply.

The Ontario Autism Program (OAP) is the provincial program for children and youth with a diagnosis of autism. Autism Atlas is not the program and cannot register you.

  1. Get the diagnosis in writing. A qualified professional has to complete it. Keep a copy.
  2. Register with AccessOAP. That is the intake door. Call 1-833-425-2445 or use the official page below.
  3. Foundational family services can start while you wait for a core clinical budget. Your regional intake agency delivers these. The map of those doors is on the find services guide.
  4. Core clinical services are the budget you can use for approved therapies such as ABA, speech, and occupational therapy. The amount and the start date come from the program, not from a clinic.
  5. A clinic that says it accepts OAP still has to be on the provider list for that purchase. Look them up. A listing here is not that check.
