Easter Seals Incontinence Supplies Grant

Ontario funds this grant; Easter Seals Ontario runs it. It helps families pay for diapers, pull-ups and some catheter supplies when a child has a chronic disability that causes ongoing incontinence. Many autistic children who still need diapers after the usual toilet-training age can qualify if a doctor or nurse practitioner confirms the need.

Apply on the Easter Seals program site igprogram@easterseals.org

Who is eligible

How much to expect

These are the published annual grant levels. They offset costs — they may not cover everything you buy.

Paid in two equal instalments six months apart (January/July, February/August, and so on depending on your cycle).

What it covers (and what it does not)

Covers: diapers, pull-ups, Attends, liners, swimmers; catheters (straight, Foley) and drainage bags.

Does not cover: gloves, wipes, creams, laundry detergent, clothing, bed linens/pads, menstrual products, or medications.

How to apply

  1. Open the application on igprogram.easterseals.org/ig.
  2. You complete the family sections. The child’s doctor or nurse practitioner completes the medical confirmation.
  3. Attach a void cheque or direct-deposit form.
  4. Send the finished package by email (recommended), mail or fax to Easter Seals Ontario. Program email: igprogram@easterseals.org. Phone: 416-421-8778 ext. 314 or 1-800-668-6252.
  5. Processing can take a long time when volume is high. Keep a copy of everything you send.

Staying eligible

Caregivers are expected to submit receipts for supplies about every six months so the file stays active. If you also receive Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities (ACSD), watch for the separate Top-Up Grant window (usually late June or July). That is not automatic — Easter Seals emails families already on the incontinence grant.

Amounts and rules can change. Confirm on the Easter Seals site before you apply. This is not medical or financial advice.
